Configuring Message Templates
Mapping WooCommerce notifications and recovery workflows to Meta approved templates.
Prerequisites & Requirements
- Meta API Connected
- Approved Message Templates in WABA
Meta requires all business-initiated messages to use pre-approved WhatsApp templates. Once your API is connected, WWA syncs your templates automatically.
Mapping Templates in WWA
Navigate to WWA WhatsApp → Templates & Notifications:
- Select your approved Meta template for New Order Notification.
- Map WooCommerce variables (e.g.
{{customer_name}},{{order_number}},{{order_total}}) to template body parameters ({{1}},{{2}},{{3}}). - Click Save Template Mapping.
Tip: Always ensure the number of mapped parameters in WWA matches the exact parameter count configured in your Meta Business Manager template.
